October/November Recap

It's time to take a look back at everything that happened in October (and the early part of November!)

The fire hydrants were flushed and winterized - hydrants should be maintained every six months to ensure they're clean and working property.

Curbs along Sequoia and the front entrance were painted to indicate where parking is prohibited - this will help make our community safer by ensuring there's access for emergency vehicles.

Several potholes around the community were filled and patched.

The fire hydrants were freshly painted - Did You Know? Fire hydrant colors aren’t randomly selected. Each color is a vital communication tool, providing visual information about the hydrant’s capabilities. These color codes follow a universal standard that helps firefighters assess the resources available at a glance. Every second counts in an emergency and fire hydrant codes allow for faster response times.

Our first community leaf clean-up for the year was completed!

Siding that was severely damaged during one of the fall storms was repaired.

Tree roots had invaded a plumbing line which was causing damage to a basement - this was repaired and the lines replaced!

We had our community pumpkin parade!

The Coronado Woods Annual Meeting happened on November 10th - new officers were elected, and it was wonderful to see everyone who came out! More details on the meeting coming soon!

During the winter months, the Board tries to step back enough to give our Reserve and Operating Funds a chance to build up in preparation for the work around the community that happens during the warmer months when the weather is more permitting to getting things done. With that in mind, this will be our last monthly update until the Spring.

We will still be keeping you informed of important information, though, so stay tuned!
